Paul L. Schmid Memorial Golf Tournament
September 29, 2008, was second Paul L. Schmid memorial golf tournament. Twenty foursomes, along with other family and friends, reminisced about Paul, his amazing golf game, and his legacy. Photos from this event can be viewed here (simply click on ‘view album’ – no need to register).
Charity for Children Golf Tournament nets $10,000!
Diane Schmid-McCall called the shots at the Links at Erie Village this past June 20 when she chaired the third annual Charity for Children Golf Tournament. With the able assistance of Nina Albino (CfC executive director) and CfC board members Kathleen Miller-Murphy, and Edwina Schelider, along with friends Chuck Jaquin, Matt Bulger and Michelle Evans, 27 foursomes enjoyed the glorious day and raised some serious money.
Other event sponsors, in addition to Rudy Schmid Body and Frame, were Gleason Builders, MCV Law, Sysco Food Services, SAVES Autobody Supply, and Printable Services.
Next year’s event is slated for Friday June 19, 2009, location and fee to be announced later.
Partnership with Monarch Industries
Rudy Schmid’s has partnered with Monarch Industries to help their special needs students from all four Syracuse high schools. Corcoran students were our first tour on October 22, 2008, and the tours provide the students with career exploration.

IN MEMORIAM
Paul L. Schmid, 78, of Brewerton, died June 26, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He leaves countless family and friends with cherished memories of a dedicated, generous and devoted individual.
